The EdTech Collaborative (ETC) began last year as a learning network for Heartland AEA area instructional technology leaders. Last year's attendees included Tech Integrationists, Instructional Coaches, Teachers, Tech Directors, Curriculum Leaders, and Administrators! With the changes in the AEA system, we've opened up to a statewide audience with our Zoom meeting (both the F2F and virtual meetings run simultaneously and with the same agenda).
Come join our mini session at ITEC and get a taste of what the EdTech Collaborative is all about. As a group, we will network, discuss a group decided topic (or two), and learn as a group.
This session will explore several strategies for coming out of our silos to plan and prepare lesson plans cooperatively with our technical and non-technical colleagues. We will explore planning with willing and unwilling colleagues, how cooperative planning can raise outcomes across classrooms and disciplines, and how it empowers our teachers and students to dig deeper and learn to live whole-person lives by integrating subjects.
Explore the need for professional development to be as engaging and effective as classroom instruction. This session advocates for interactive, application-based professional development that moves beyond the traditional sit-and-get methods to ensure teachers actively learn, engage, and apply best practices effectively.
